  • The first step is getting in touch via the enquiry form or by email. From there, Margot will arrange an initial consultation to discuss your project, your vision, and how she can help.

  • Yes. Margot offers an introductory call or meeting to understand your project before any commitment is made. This is an opportunity to discuss your brief, timeline, and budget, and to see whether you are a good fit for one another.

  • Every project begins with a detailed brief and site visit. From there, Margot develops a concept - covering spatial planning, materials, colour, and mood - before moving through technical design, contractor coordination, FF&E procurement, and final styling. She oversees each stage personally.

  • Margot's studio is based in St John's Wood, working primarily across London neighbourhoods including Little Venice, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Mayfair, Belgravia, and Kensington. She also takes on a small number of country house projects each year across Hertfordshire and the Cotswolds, and select international projects where the scope allows.

  • As much or as little as you would like. Margot works closely with clients who want to be part of every decision, and equally with those who prefer to hand over the reins and trust the process. The brief established at the outset guides everything.

  • Yes, and these are projects Margot particularly enjoys. Second homes and pied-à-terres often allow for a more focused, efficient design process, and she would love to take on more of this type of work alongside her larger residential projects.

  • Fees are tailored to each project and discussed at the initial consultation stage. Margot works on a combination of fixed fee and hourly rate depending on the scope of work involved.

  • This varies considerably depending on the scale and complexity of the project. A smaller apartment refresh may take a few months, while a full refurbishment of a family home can take a year or more. Margot will give you a realistic timeline at the outset based on your specific project.

  • Yes. Margot is able to manage the contractor relationship on your behalf, carrying out regular site visits, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring the design vision is being implemented correctly throughout the build.

  • Yes. Alongside private residential clients, Margot works with developers on boutique residential developments where a considered, design-led approach is required from the outset.

  • Margot works across a range of project scales, though the nature of a full interior design service - with the time, craft, and supplier relationships involved - does require a meaningful investment. She will always be transparent about fees and will work with you to make the most of your budget.

  • Yes. FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) procurement is a core part of the service. Margot sources everything from off-the-shelf pieces to bespoke custom-made items, managing orders, deliveries, and installation on your behalf.

  • Absolutely. The finishing details - artwork, soft furnishings, accessories, and planting - are something Margot gives particular care to. These are often the elements that bring a space fully to life, and they are never an afterthought.

  • Yes, and it is something Margot does regularly. She is experienced in working alongside architects, contractors, and other consultants as part of a wider project team.

  • Margot works best with clients who are decisive, value good design, and are looking for a trusted professional to lead the process. Many of her clients are time-poor and prefer to place their confidence in Margot's expertise, allowing her to manage the detail while they enjoy the result.

  • Yes. Art and styling curation is a core part of Margot's service, not an afterthought. She works closely with clients to source artwork and curate the final layers of a home, ensuring every space feels complete, personal, and considered.

  • You can contact Margot via the form on the enquiry page. She aims to respond to all enquiries within two working days.
