Full Design Process
01 BRIEF
This is the initial meeting - a friendly consultation - where I find out what clients' needs and aspirations are for their project, and establish a scope so I can put together an initial fee proposal. Understanding of their vision, budget, practical and aesthetic requirements are key at this stage.
02 CONCEPT DESIGN
Once the fee proposal has been accepted, I will embark on finessing the spatial planning which sets out the foundation of the project. Inspiration mood boards, key finishes & indicative sketches for the look and feel for the space will be put together concurrently with inputs from clients.
03 DETAIL DESIGN
Once concept design stage has been approved, this will lead to key plans being drawn up, and any necessary technical drawings and schedules will be put together. Then, a tender package can be put forward for contractor pricing.
04 FF&E PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY
If the service is required, I can procure and manage the deliveries for clients' FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) needs, from sourcing off the shelf furniture, to custom designed pieces, lighting, rugs, artwork. Clients will be able to benefit from the trade discounts that I pass on to clients as well as the wealth of suppliers I work with.
05 DESIGN COORDINATION
I am able to carry out regular site visits to keep an eye on the project, making sure the design vision is being implemented correctly by contractors. I also review relevant suppliers' drawings as part of the service to ensure everything is being done in the clients' best interests.
06 STYLING & FINISHING
These are the final details that often get overlooked. The ultimate styling of a project can bring it to life - choosing the right accessories, artwork, soft furnishings and planting has a crucial impact on the final look and feel of the space.
